# Introduction

This technical manual will help you getting started with developing for the UiTPAS Balie backend application.

## Intended Audience

We wrote this manual for web developers with good knowledge of:

* [Composer](https://getcomposer.org), a PHP dependency manager,
* [Swagger](http://swagger.io), a framework for APIs,
* [Silex](http://silex.sensiolabs.org), a PHP micro-framework based on the Symfony2 Components,
* [Git](https://git-scm.com), a distributed version control system,
* [GitHub](https://github.com), a web-based Git repository hosting service.
